Eat, Drink & Remarry

A fun, new challenge is up at The Studio Challenges.  It's time to create a layout based upon a quote.  We all have that favorite quote we'd like to put on paper.  Now is your chance!  Here is mine to share.

EAT, DRINK & REMARRY
Don't you just love it?!!  I happened to stumble across this quote shortly after I remarried in February 2015 and, to say the least, I instantly fell in love with it.  It's perfect!  I've been waiting and wanting to put it on paper ever since.  Today I finally get to share it with the world!

I used my February 2017 scrapbook kit by Gossamer Blue.  The papers and embellishments were perfect.  I just changed the photo to black and white to better coordinate the colors.  I just love how it turned out!

Such a fun challenge!  We all have a quote we want to share with the world so get to work and show it off!  Be sure to share with us at The Studio Challenges and be sure to visit for more inspiration.  I'm excited to see what you do with this one.

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

Grammies Happy Boy

G'day scrappy friends!
Today I'm sharing my take on our first challenge of the month at The Studio Challenges.  We have a sketch to follow this time and I just love a sketch challenge!!  It's such a great starting point to create with so many possibilities.

and the sketch for inspiration...

Just look at Grammie's little man.  I just love him too pieces and I love the chance to show him off whenever possible!

For this layout I used a mix of product from my stash piles.  Just grabbing pieces that coordinate with my photo.  Check out my tag.  I created it myself with a little bit of paint, a sunburst stencil and some woodgrain scrap paper.

Ok, now it's your turn!  Study the sketch and go get creative!  Be sure to share with us at The Studio Challenges for your chance to be a guest designer for us.  How fun!  If you need more inspiration be sure to check out what the other designers have created.  So many different ideas from one sketch.  I'm excited to see what you come up with!

Eight years old

A new challenge is waiting for you at The Studio Challenges.  This one is all about numbers!  We want to see lots and lots of numbers!  Here is mine to share.

Even though this happened 18 years ago, it still s feels like yesterday!  Just look at my girl, looking all grown up but still celebrating with a Poo Bear cake.  Aww!

For this layout it's definitely showing the hoarder in me because I have kept this numbers diecut piece for years and this challenge was the perfect opportunity for me to use it up.  And I was determined to make it work!!

Since it's a birthday celebration you have to add sparkle, right?  So I highlighted all the 8's with orange stickles to really make them pop.  I then added coordinating embellishments and a simple title.  Also, the background paper looks like confetti so I felt it was a perfect match.  This layout was a different approach for me and I'm pretty happy with my turnout.

Now it's your turn!  I do hope that you find the time to join in with us at The Studio Challenges.  Be sure to share with us too, I'd love to see what you come up with.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Happy Scrapping to you.

Donuts Make Everything Better!!

A new challenge is up at The Studio Challenges!  We are asking you to create a layout using half patterned paper.  The other half is completely up to you on how you want to design it.  Here is mine to share...

Donuts make everything better!  Wouldn't you agree?  I do!!  The proof is in the picture.  Valentine's day happen to fall on my Grammie day so we had to celebrate!

I really love the look of a half patterned paper layout.  The flow is so balanced and I'm all about that when it comes to scrapbooking and in life too.  It's a design that never goes out of style and the possibilities are endless!

While deciding on what I wanted to create with this photo I surprisingly stumbled across this donut paper by American Crafts.  It was perfect!!  It's funny how you don't even realize all the prints that lurk in your paper collection until you start digging.  I then added some fun coordinating embellishments and a catchy title.  I love the turnout and it just makes me laugh when I at this because their love for donuts is real.

Now it's your turn.  Go get creative and have some fun with this challenge!  If you need some more inspiring ideas be sure to check out the rest of the teams work at The Studio Challenges.  I do hope you join in and be sure to share with us!

Thanks for stopping by and as always, happy scrapping to you!]

It's Grammie Day!

It's new challenge day at The Studio Challenges!  This time around it's all about YOU!  We want to you create a layout that is all about you and it's totally of your choosing on how you decide to incorporate yourself.  Here is mine to share.

It's a known fact that I love being Grammie and I look forward to my Grammie days!  This was the perfect challenge for me to show that off about myself.  As scrapbookers, isn't it a fact that we are always behind the camera lens and rarely in a photo?  And it's even more rare that we scrapbook about ourselves, right?  Now here's your chance!  Take advantage of it!

I kept it pretty simple for this layout.  I love the newspaper print background paper by Pink Paislee, it's somewhat busy but not too much.  I splattered some colored inks, added some color coordinating puffy stickers and a simple title.  Done!  Easy peasy!  I'm happy with the turnout.  What do you think?

Now it's your turn!  I sure hope all you beautiful scrapbookers join in with us at The Studio Challenges for this challenge!  And be sure to share with us as well because we want to see them.  Get creative and go have some fun with this one!

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

What Matters Most

Hello! Hello!
It's time for a new challenge at The Studio Challenges!  We've got a fun sketch to work with this time.  I just love following sketches, they are such a great starting point to get your creativeness going. Wouldn't you agree? Here's mine to share.

This is our clan and I'm so proud to show them off!  Our fabulous four with their fabulous offspring and we've got another on the way.  I'll be a Grammie of 4 this June!!  Say what?  It wasn't long ago that I was their age!

When I seen this sketch, since I've been doing some cleaning up and purging in my scraproom, these little bags came to mind.  I've had these little bags laying around in my scrappy stash forever!  I felt this was a great opportunity for me to use them up.  Actually everything on this layout was created from my scrappy stash.  No collection used whatsoever.  That's one way to put a dent into it.

Now it's your turn!  Creating with a sketch is so fun and such a great starting point.  I love seeing your creations so be sure to share with us at The Studio Challenges.  And give us a visit for lots of inspiration.

That's it for today.  Thanks so much for the visit and as always... Happy Scrapping!

You Make Loving Fun

We've got a fun new challenge for you at The Studio Challenges.  We want you to create a layout inspired by a song.  How fun, right!?  It's up to you on how you want to execute it, whether it be the title or the lyrics, you decide... there are really so many possibilities!

I choose the song You Make Loving Fun by Fleetwood Mac and I incorporated some of the song lyrics as well.  It's such a classic!!

I love all genres of music and it's a big part of my life actually.  I'm consistently listening to music is some shape, way or form.  So I loved this challenge!  Choosing a song was tough for me since I have so many favorites but this one was the perfect choice for my layout of my newly engaged son and his beautiful wife to be.

For this layout everything used is from my stash and it's just a mixture of product made into a layout.  I love the background paper by My Mind's Eye.  The stripes really set it off and the color is perfect!  Some other fun touches are the frames by Crate Paper, some puffy stickers by Evalicious, flair, enamel hearts by Heidi Grace and a mixture of letters for the title.  Topped off with splatters and some journaling.  In my journaling is how I incorporated some song lyrics, along with word stickers.

Now it's your turn!  We all have a favorite song and this is your chance to scrap it!  I'm excited to see what you come up with.  Be sure to share with us at The Studio Challenges for a chance to guest design for us!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I enjoy the audience.  Happy scrapping to you!

The Little Moments Well Spent

Happy New Year once again scrappy friends!  Two weeks into 2017 already.  How is it treating you so far?

We've got another new challenge waiting for you at The Studio Challenges.  Please join us.  It's a challenging mood board this time.  It was for me anyway.  Here is my layout to share.

and here is the mood board to follow...

I always seem to struggle when it comes to a colored mood board. I think the reason being is because of a trapped feeling, not being able to choose whatever you'd like.  So this type of challenge is good for me.  Thank goodness I came across this collection I had stashed away "For The Record 2" by Echo Park.  The colors are perfect!

Saved by Echo Park!  Since this collection was of perfect color I was able to create it pretty quickly.  I also added some misc goodies from my stash that coordinated as well.  And just look at Grammie's little guy.  I just can't get enough of his handsome face!

Okay, now it's your turn.  Get digging through your papers and your stash for the perfect combo to create your layout and be sure to share with us at The Studio Challenges.  I'm really excited to see what you come up with.

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

2016 Family Highlights

Happy New Year my blogger friends!!
We've got a new challenge for the new year up at The Studio Challenges.  We'd like a "review of the year" layout from you.  Instead of looking forward to the new year, we want you to look back at the year you just had! It could be a review of the whole year, something special that happened, your favorite thing about the year, or maybe it's one you'd rather forget! We'll leave it up to decide.

As for me, 2016 was a good year for us! For my "Review of the Year" layout I wanted to show off my children and document an important highlight in each of their lives. I am truly blessed with a loving and ever growing family.  Here is my take.

As I said before, 2016 was such a good year for us with lots of good happenings and I'm hoping for the same in 2017.

This layout came together fairly quickly for me all because of the embellished background paper by Simple Stories.  I just added some homemade tags, a title and a few matching embellishments of my own and BOOM!  I love how it turned out!  The wood grain really topped it off.  Just a couple of closeups for more detail...

Now it's your turn.  Go have some fun as you create your "review of the year" layout.  I cant wait to see them, so be sure to share with us at The Studio Challenges.

Thanks so much for stopping by and again, Happy New Year!
