Our Love Story

It's time for a new sketch challenge at Scrap Our Stash and we've included a color palette as well.  It's a bright and cheerful combo to help with the winter blues.  Here is my take.

Aww, just look at us!  This man is the love of my life and he will forever be my Valentine!  Since Valentine's Day is upon us I felt this photo was appropriate and the color palette couldn't be anymore right on as well.

How fun, right!?  For this layout I used the Beautiful Life collection by Echo Park and for the embellishments, they are all misc pieces from my stash.  I just dig through it and grab what I feel fits the layout and also goes with the color palette.  I'm also trying not to buy new product until I get a lot of stash down!

Here are a few close ups for you.

Now it's your turn!  Here are the sketch and color palette to follow.

Yummy colors, right?  And so many possiblities with the sketch too!  Go have some fun with it and be sure to link up with us by Feb 27 for your chance to win!  Give Scrap Our Stash a visit for full challenge rules and for tons of inspiration.  I look forward to seeing your creations.

Thanks so much for visiting and happy scrapping to you!

twice Blessed

Hi scrappy friends!
We've got a new sketch for you at Stuck?! Sketches.  This one was actually a struggle for me but I am happy with the final outcome.  Here is my take.

These are my babies and I just love showing them off!  I am so proud of them and I am so blessed to have such good kids.

For this layout my papers and embellishments are all from the Cut & Paste collection by MME.  The colors are perfect for my photo, making it really pop.  I did add some days of the week washi tape to top it off, along with some matching buttons and twine.

Here are a few close ups

Like I said, for some reason, I struggled with this sketch.  I'm not sure what it was throwing me off but after many frustrating hours of moving this and changing that... I finally settled.

I hope that you give this sketch a try and let me know if you struggled as well.  Be sure to link up by February 26 for your chance to win great prizes!  Do you need more inspiration?  Give Stuck?! Sketches a visit right now.  You'll be overwhelmed with ideas!

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

Enjoy the Everyday

Are you ready for a new stash challenge?  I hope so because we've got a new one for you at Scrap Our Stash.  Create a layout and include an item from your stash for each letter in the word WASHI.  Here is mine to share.

This is my adorable little granddaughter and everyday is an adventure with her.  She truly does enjoy the everydays.  She has brought so much joy to our lives and I just cant get enough of her.

For this layout I used all paper scraps except for my background paper, which is by Studio Calico.  I painted the wooden frames for color.  I dug through my embellie stash for some fun little details and topped it off by journaling around the outer edge for a framed look.  To complete the challenge my items used are

W - wood, washi tape
A- acrylic paint (frames)
S - stickles (around butterflies)
H - heart buttons
I - ink (journaling)

Here are a few close ups for better detail.

I really had fun creating this layout and I like how it turned out.  I was determined to use up those wooden frames that have been sitting around for too long!  Now it's your turn!  Go have some fun with it and start digging through your stash.  Be sure to link up with us by February 27 to win a great prize.  Check out Scrap Our Stash for full challenge rules and for more inspiration.  I'm excited to see what you create.

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

I am mom

We have a new challenge up at Challenge YOUrself.  This month we have a color combo to follow and an added twist as well, we want you to include the words "I am" into your title or your journaling.   And, as always, don't forget to include YOU in the photo.  Here is my layout to share.

When this challenge was first introduced to the team, without hesitation, this was my instant thought... "I am Mom."  I wear this title proudly and I love it

I kept it pretty simple for this one and I love how it turned out!  Very clean and crisp.  I only used two sheets of paper for the entire challenge, white cardstock and a sunburst paper by Chickaniddy Crafts.  The colors were perfect in the one sheet!  For added detail I cut out the inside of a doilie to use as a background frame and I added double stitching around the outer edges of the cardstock and the printed papers.  Here are a couple of close ups.

What do you think?  Are you inspired?  I sure hope so!  Here is the color combo to follow and be sure to check out Challenge YOUrself for more inspiration and to join in with us.  Link up by March 4 for your chance to win a $15 E-gift card from Peachy Cheap.

Aren't those colors yummy?  So many possibilities and a fun pick-me-up during the dog days of winter!  Go have some fun with it and I look forward to seeing what you create.

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

20 Years

I've got a new layout to share today.  This one is for Stuck Sketches and with this sketch we have a color combo by ScrapMuch? to follow as well.  Here is my take.

This is the love of my life and this past summer marked 20 years for us!  I do have to say that he is one thing that I did right!  We're so good together.

For this layout I used an older Studio Calico kit from January 2014.  The printed papers are by We R Memory Keepers and they matched the color combo to a tee, they also accommodate my photos nicely too.  I just love when that happens.  I felt I was lacking with the light grey color so I colored a white doilie with a silver acrylic paint dabber  and it turned out perfect.  Just the right touch.  I also created my own green shipping tag out of textured cardstock to feature more of that color as well.

Here are a few close ups for better detail.

What do you think?  Are you feeling any inspiration?  I sure hope so because now it is your turn!  Go have some fun with it and be sure to link up by February 28 for your chance to win some great prizes!  Visit Stuck?! Sketches for full challenge rules and for tons of inspiration!

And now for the sketch

and for the color combo, we are co-challenging with ScrapMuch?  If you use our sketch and their color combo you can link up to both challenges for a chance at the prize they are offering too!

I cant wait to see what you come up with.  Thanks so much for visiting and happy scrapping to you!
