Yum!

I've never participated in a lift challenge before so I decided it was time to join in on the fun at Scrapbook Challenges with Ali's liftapalooza.  For some reason I liked her design and wanted to copy it in my own way.  Here is what I came up with.

and here is Ali's original liftapalooza layout

As you can see I stuck with the three photos but turned my design to better accommodate my photos.  I really like how it turned out.  And just look at my beautiful granddaughter.  She is totally hamming it up for the camera as she eats up her ice cream.  Here are a couple of closeups.

I had a lot fun with this challenge and I love showing off my granddaughter too so it's a win, win!
Thanks so much for stopping by and feel free to leave some love, it's much appreciated!  Happy scrapping to you!

Meow Humbug

No, it's not the Christmas season but by the looks of my layout it is.  Ok, so I'm behind on my holiday scrapping but I bet I'm not the only one.  These photos are just too cute not to scrap, no matter the time of year.

As I was scrolling through Scrapbook Challenges for some inspiration I stumbled upon sketch 477 and it really intrigued me so I decided to join in.  As I was searching my photos to fit the sketch I came across these and and it just blossomed from there.  It all came together so nicely and I'm very happy with my turnout.  Here are a couple of close ups followed by the sketch.

What do you think?  Your comments are always appreciated and welcome!  Thanks so much for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

My Happy Life

I've got a new layout to share today.
It's been forever since I've just scrapped for me so I decided to visit an old stopping ground of mine, Stuck?! Sketches and join in with a current sketch challenge.  This is my take on their April 1st challenge.

and here is the sketch

I followed the sketch pretty closely, only changing the elements somewhat.  There are so many possibilities with this one, that's why it caught my attention.  Here are a couple of closeups as well.

This is my growing family!  The entire clan was able to make it over for Easter and that is one task that is getting harder and harder to accomplish nowadays.  I am so blessed and these beautiful faces are my happy life!

Thanks so much for stopping by and your thoughts are always welcome!
Happy scrapping to you!

This One's For The Girls

Good morning!
Today I have a new layout to share with you for Challenge YOUrself.  This month it's about music and who doesn't love music?  It really plays an important part in my life and I truly couldn't live without it.

For this challenge you are asked to incorporate the song lyrics of This One's For The Girls by Martina McBride.  How fun is that?  I think we can all relate to this song in one way or another.  Feel free to use the lyrics in any way you'd like but remember to use a photo with YOU in it!  Here's mine to share.

This was such a fun weekend with my scrappy girls for a scrapbook weekend retreat that I had won.  I felt this was the perfect choice for this challenge.  My title is the title of the song and my journaling are some song lyrics that I felt were very fitting.

For this layout I used my March kit from Gossamer Blue.  I also incorporated some stamping in the background to kill some of the white space and because I don't stamp enough.  I've got tons of stamps and I really need to do this more often!  Here are a few closeups...

Now it's your turn!  Please check out Challenge YOUrself for full challenge rules and for tons of inspiration.  And for song lyrics click here.  I really look forward to seeing what you create.  Now go have some fun with it!  Be sure to link up with us by May 4 for a chance to win some goodies!

Thanks so much for the visit and happy scrapping to you!
