Hello friends and happy April to you!
I do hope that you are all staying safe, snug and healthy in these unpredictable times. Hang in there!

Today I'm sharing my layout for Challenge YOUrself.  This month's challenge is scrapping a black and white photo and please remember to include YOU in the photo as well.  I just love working with a black and white photos, it makes designing your page much easier and fun too.

Here is my take...

Ahh, just looking at this layout makes me happy!  Please take me back there!  I'm so ready for warmer weather to stay.  I always look forward to our annual sibling vacations.  Unfortunately, this year it did not happen due to the circumstances.

For this layout I used scrap papers and misc items from my stash.  I'm really trying to use it up.  I'm very pleased with my turnout.  Again, I love working with black and white photos because pretty much anything goes.

Now it's your turn!  Make some time to get your scappy on with this fun challenge.  Be sure to share it with us at Challenge YOUrself for your chance to win a fun prize.  Check us out for all the details and for loads of inspiration!

Laugh Love

Hello!  And happy Saturday!

It's a new month so that means a new challenge for you at Challenge YOUrself!  This month is all about polka dots.  Who doesn't love polka dots??  I sure do. They are so fun.

With that being said here is my layout to share...

Polka dots galore!  A polka dot background and all four colored grid papers are polka dots too.  I just love how the colorful grid pops.  Along with the added color of the embellishments.

This is our family crew celebrating family day.  We get together once a month to spend some fun, quality time together.  As our four get older and families keep growing it gets harder and harder to see each other.  I really cherish these family days!

For this layout, it's a mish mosh of product from my stash.  Shame on me, but I can't remember who made the background paper.  The colorful grid papers are from Close To My Heart, the Dotty For You collection.  The chipboard and ephemera embellishments are from Hip Kit Club.  I just love how you can mix different collection and make it all work.

Now it's your turn!  Join in with us and link up by April 4 for your chance at a great prize!  Check out Challenge YOUrself for our challenge rules and for tons of inspiration by the talented design team.

Polka dots are so much fun!  I'm excited to see what you come up with.  Thank you for stopping by!

You are my Super Hero

Hello!  Hello!!
It's time for a new challenge at Challenge YOUrself!

This month we are going to create a layout using the song "Hero" by Mariah Carey.  Such a classic, right!?  Give it a listen here for inspiration.

When I listen to this song I think about the hero in my life and my husband instantly comes to mind.  Hands down, he is my hero! My superhero actually! He's my biggest fan and he makes my life complete. Here is my take...

For this layout I used the Brothers collection by Echo Park.  It's an older collection but a goodie and the colors were perfect! I also added some superhero pieces that i had in my stash to complete my theme.

Seeee!  He even has a superhero outfit! Just jump into a phone booth and BOOM!  I had to frame it and top it off with glitter for more highlight.

Now it's your turn. Be sure to share your layout with us for a chance to win a great prize! And give Challenge YOUrself a visit for loads of inspiration.

Get creative!  And be sure to include YOU in the photo!  That's a must.  I'm excited to see what you do with this one.

Happy scrapping!

ACCOMPLISH - My OLW for 2020

A big hello to all my crafty friends!
I'm back!!!

Oh. My. Goodness. I've been away for far too long! I fell into a design funk and lost my scrappy mojo.  Has this happened to you?  Well, I'm feeling it again and ready to get started!!

First off... Happy New Year to each and everyone of you! May 2020 be full of love, good health and all things happy.

Secondly, I want to thank Sharon, from Challenge YOUrself, for welcoming me back as a designer on her team!!  This is exactly what I needed to get my mojo back.  This is the perfect way to start off the New Year!

So, with that being said, I want to share with you my first layout of the New Year with the first challenge of the year at Challenge YOUrself.  This month it's all about that One Little Word.  Choose a word to focus on and reflect upon throughout the new year.  Create a layout that celebrates that word and remember to include YOU in the photo.  Here's mine...

My OLW is Accomplish.  Definition: "to complete".
I desperately need this in my life and I'm going to make this the year the year where I complete what I start.  No more pushing unfinished projects aside.  It's time for me to walk my talk!

For this layout I used my October 2019 scrapbook kit from Hip Kit Club.  Some of the small detailing are from my own stash, such as the misting, washi tape and enamel dots.  Here are a couple of closeups to see those little details.

Now it's your turn!  Please join in!  Think about that one word that really talks to you and scrap it.  You'll be surprised at how good it will make you feel. I'm excited to see what you create!

And don't forget to include YOU in the photo.  That's a must!  Be sure to link up by February 5 for your chance to win a great prize.  Stop by Challenge YOUrself for tons of inspiration and for full challenge rules.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  It feels so good to be back!

Happy scrapping,
Tracy :)

Eat, Drink & Remarry

A fun, new challenge is up at The Studio Challenges.  It's time to create a layout based upon a quote.  We all have that favorite quote we'd like to put on paper.  Now is your chance!  Here is mine to share.

Don't you just love it?!!  I happened to stumble across this quote shortly after I remarried in February 2015 and, to say the least, I instantly fell in love with it.  It's perfect!  I've been waiting and wanting to put it on paper ever since.  Today I finally get to share it with the world!

I used my February 2017 scrapbook kit by Gossamer Blue.  The papers and embellishments were perfect.  I just changed the photo to black and white to better coordinate the colors.  I just love how it turned out!

Such a fun challenge!  We all have a quote we want to share with the world so get to work and show it off!  Be sure to share with us at The Studio Challenges and be sure to visit for more inspiration.  I'm excited to see what you do with this one.

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

Grammies Happy Boy

G'day scrappy friends!
Today I'm sharing my take on our first challenge of the month at The Studio Challenges.  We have a sketch to follow this time and I just love a sketch challenge!!  It's such a great starting point to create with so many possibilities.

and the sketch for inspiration...

Just look at Grammie's little man.  I just love him too pieces and I love the chance to show him off whenever possible!

For this layout I used a mix of product from my stash piles.  Just grabbing pieces that coordinate with my photo.  Check out my tag.  I created it myself with a little bit of paint, a sunburst stencil and some woodgrain scrap paper.

Ok, now it's your turn!  Study the sketch and go get creative!  Be sure to share with us at The Studio Challenges for your chance to be a guest designer for us.  How fun!  If you need more inspiration be sure to check out what the other designers have created.  So many different ideas from one sketch.  I'm excited to see what you come up with!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  It's always a pleasure.  Have a great day and happy scrapping to you.
