Journey - My To Go List

Happy Monday!
Today is the 15th which means we've got a new sketch challenge for you at Stuck?! Sketches and here is what I came up with.

Here is the sketch.  I turned it to accommodate my photos.

Within the last year I've made up a to-go list of places I'd like to go before I die.  I feel it's a very doable list.  Don't get me wrong, there are more than these area's I'd like to visit but these 3 are my top priorities - the Grand Canyon, to drive the entire coast of California and to visit Australia.

For this layout I used Story Teller by Crate Paper.  The embellishments and chipboard are also part of this collection as well.  I added a couple of wooden accents to go along with my travel theme.  I'm such a sucker for them little wood bits!  I think I stick at least one on almost every layout.

Here are a few close ups for you.

Do you have a to-go list?  Or any kind of list, for that matter?  If so, try scrapping it.  It's almost like therapy!  Stop by Stuck?! Sketches for more inspiration and for full entry details, and remember, it's their anniversary month meaning lots of prizes to be won!  Link up by September 29 for your chance to win some of those great prizes.  The winners are chosen by random.org.  I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

hello fall

Hello, hello!  Happy September to you!
We have a new challenge up at Challenge YOUrself and it's all about the fall season. What is your favorite thing about fall?  The colors?  The smells?  The kids going back to school?  We want you to tell us about it!  Mine is TV!!  My shows start back up!  Yayy!  I just love that about fall.

Ah yes, all wrapped up in a cozy blanket, sitting comfy on my couch, sipping on a warm drink as I watch my most awaited TV shows!  Love it!

When I think fall I think colorful leaves so I was determined to make a fall tree out of my Donna Downey stamp.  I've had this stamp stashed for too long and finally got it out.  I only used the bark area so I could jazz up the leaves to give it some color and character.  I had a few different ideas on how to make them but I decided on the buttons since I have tons of them and was able to use up some of my stash.  The background paper is by Webster's pages.  I thought it was fitting, like I am sitting inside watching TV.  If you look closely, you'll see I listed my most favorite shows.  Ohh I'm so excited to have my programs starting back up!

Here are a few close ups for better detail.

Ok, now it's your turn!  What is your most favorite thing about fall?  We all have that one thing.  Be creative and have fun with it.  Be sure to link up by October 5 for your chance to win a great prize.  Stop by Challenge YOUrself for all the details and for tons of inspiration along with ideas!

Thanks for much for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

#hello

Hello friends!  A new sketch challenge is up at Stuck?! Sketches and I have my layout to share with you today.

This is my boy being his usual funny self.  He decided to photo bomb my picture as I was trying to photograph the lake and I've got to say, I actually like how this picture turned out.  Always best when not planned.

My background paper is by Studio Calico, framed in kraft cardstock.  Behind the photos are strips of washi tape, all from the Cut & Paste collection by MME.  The chipboard pieces are by ScrapMatts, whom are one of our sponsors for this month, so I had the privilege of working with their product.  Love it, btw, and I've got leftovers for future layouts!  Thank you ScrapMatts!  Definitely check them out when you get a chance.  I left my chipboard natural since it fit in as is, but I did top off my butterflies with stickles for a sparkle effect.

Here are a few close ups for better detail

Be sure to visit Stuck?! Sketches for tons of inspiration and for full details on the challenge.  Link up by Sept 28 for a chance to win some great prizes by random.org.  Now, before I forget, here is the sketch.  Go have some fun with it!  I'm excited to see your take.

And as a reminder, it's a party all month long at Stuck?!  We are celebrating their anniversary and that means lots of fun to be had!  Including more prizes, more inspiration and more features, meaning more chances to win!!  Don't miss out!  Give us a visit now for full details.

That's it for today!  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope I've inspired you in some way.  Have a great day and happy scrapping to you!
