1998 - 2013 Then & Now

Hello and happy Sunday to you!

I have for you today a layout I did for Scrap Our Stash challenge #9.   You are required to pull out those 6 x 6 pads you have been hoarding and create a layout using only paper from those pads and you must include (6) or more of one type of premade/packaged embellishment.

Here is my take

I just love this!  This is us - same place, same pose with the same smiles, 15 years later!!  It's such a great idea to do and it was so much fun doing it.  We all had a good time reenacting the original pose.  Unfortunately our cat, Giddy, passed away only one month before the re-take photo.  I sure miss that little guy!

For this challenge I used Snippets 6x6 paper pad by Studio Calico and my 6 embellishments are the wooden people, 2 parents & 4 kiddies.  It worked out perfect!  This is such a great challenge for me because I never think to use my pads.  I always forget about them.

Here are a few close ups for better detail

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Happy scrapping to you.

Rex

Hello friends and happy Friday to you!  Today is the 15th and that means a new sketch is up at Stuck Sketches!  Its a fun one with many possibilities.

Here is my take to share with you.

This is my fur baby Rex.  He is such a character and I'm so glad to have him in my life.  I found this quote from John Hay and felt is was perfect for my layout and I couldn't agree with him more!

One DT requirement we had was to use wooden elements and I just LOVE wooden accents!  So I was very excited about this challenge.  I just cant get enough of them <3

Here is a closer look for more detail

and here is the sketch to follow

Fun one, right?  And like I said before, there are so many possibilities with this one.  To get your creative juices flowing, stop by Stuck?! Sketches now and check out the other DT inspiration!

For this sketch the sponsor is Whimsical Twist and to be eligible for a $15 gift certificate you must upload your layout by November 29.  A random winner will be chosen!  Come on!  Give it a try!  I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

Hello friends!  Happy Monday to you!  Wow, can you believe that it's November already?

Today I have my first layout design for Stuck?! Sketches!  I'm so excited to be part of this team!  Be sure to stop by and check out all of the talent from such creative designers.

I just love this picture of me and my man.  And I do have to say I am totally in love with him!  What do you think about my stitching?  I've yet to do the real thing.  For some reason I'm scared to put my paper under that needle.  So for now, I draw the stitch line with my marker.  Here are a couple of close ups for better detail.
