Believe in the magic

Hello scrappy friends!  I have a new reveal today for Scrap Our Stash.  For this challenge we have a sketch to follow and are asked to include sequins as well.  Here is my take

Yep, I still believe!  To this day, I still get butterflies when I see Santa.  It brings back such fun childhood memories of myself and when my kiddos were little.  You're never too old, right?  When you stop believing you get a stocking full of coal and who what's that?

For this layout I dug through my older Christmas collections and decided with It's Christmas by Allison Kreft.  This is one of my favorite holiday collections, it's so bright and cheery.  For the background I was wanting a chalkboard look and I didn't have any so I swept over a black piece of cardstock with my white ink pad and waala!  I love how it turned out!  It looks like chalkboard to me.

For this challenge we were asked to incorporate sequins as well.  As you can see I used plenty.  Along the chevron border I added circle sequins and atop of my large diecut snowflakes, I also sprinkled snowflake sequins throughout to add to my holiday theme.

With 17 Turtles being our sponsor this month we were given the opportunity to play with their cut files.  My title is one.  How super cute it that?  I just love the mixture of fonts.  Be sure to check them out when you get a chance.  They have so many cuts to choose from.

Now it's your turn!  Join in with us this month for your chance to win!

Grammies Girl

Wow!  Today is the 15th and we're already half way through January.  This day also mean that we have a new sketch at Stuck?! Sketches and here is my take.

Yep, that's my girl!  Grammie's girl!  Tuesdays are our days together and I just cant get enough of this!  I just love her too pieces!

For this layout the background paper is by lawnfawn and for the others I decided on a 6x6 paper pad by Basic Grey.  I have many of these pads stashed away and I really need to use them more often.  They are great for layering.  My embellishments are a mixture of products from my stash as well.  Here are a few close ups for better viewing.

What do you think?  I think it turned out pretty cute!  Now it's your turn!  Be sure to check out Stuck?! Sketches for lots of inspiration and to link up with us by January 29 for your chance of becoming a winner of some great prizes.  Now before I forget, let me share the sketch.

I hope you give it a try!
Thanks so much for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

12.13.14

Today is the day!  My first layout for Scrap Our Stash.  I'm so excited to share it with you!  So here you go...

12.13.14
Such a cool date!  Wouldn't you agree?  It was the last consecutive date that we will see in our lifetime so I had to scrap it!

Before I start rambling let me share this month's stash challenge...

This was a first for me.  I've never done a stash challenge before and I have to say "I loved it!"  It was so much fun digging through my stash, and I actually found items I forgot I even had in the process. This is such a great way to use it up!

For this layout I used the Candy Cane collection by Teresa Collins and some goodies from my stash.  For the challenge my items used to spell out T-W-I-N-E are...

T - transparency
W - wood veneer
I - ink (around edges)
N - numbers (title)
E - enamel dots

Here are a few close ups for better detail

Now it's your turn!  This is so fun and you'll be surprised at all the goodness you'll find digging through your stash.  Give it a try!  I'm excited to see what you come up with.  Our sponsor this month is 17 Turtles and they are offering to our randomly drawn winner a $20 gift certificate to shop in their online store.

Be sure to stop by Scrap Our Stash for lots of inspiration and to check out the challenge guidelines.  Thanks so much for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

Adventure OLW 2015

Hello scrappy friends!  How is the new year treating you?  We're already one week down.

We've got a new challenge for you at Challenge YOUrself.  This month it's about that One Little Word.  All you have to do is choose a word that you will focus on and reflect upon throughout the new year, and create a layout that celebrates that word.  Here's mine to share.

My OLW is Adventure!  "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing"  I just love this quote by Helen Keller and it's so true!  Just about anything and everything can be an adventure if you make it one, right?  So bring it on!  I'm going to welcome more adventure into my everyday life this year.

For this layout I used my October 2013 Studio Calico kit.  As for my embellishments, they are a mixture of product from my stash.  My goal for this year is to really focus on using up my stash!  It's pretty fun actually and I end up finding items I forgot I even had!  Here are a few close ups for better detail.

Now it's your turn!  Think about a word that really talks to you and scrap it!  I'm excited to see what you create.  Oh, and don't forget to include YOU in the photo, that's a must!  Be sure to link up by February 5 for your chance to win a great prize.  Stop by Challenge YOUrself for loads of inspiration and for full challenge rules.

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

together

Happy New Year!!

How was your night?  How are you feeling?  Oh my goodness, I can not believe that it is 2015!  Where is the time going?  I swear it's moving faster than it ever has.

I've got a new layout to share with you today for Stuck?! Sketches.  It's such a fun sketch with many possibilities and here is my take.

This is my clan and I just can not get enough of this!  All of them being together at the same time.

For this layout I used a mish mosh of product from a couple of older Paper Bakery kits.  I just love how you can mix and match and make it all come together.  Here are a few close ups for you.

What do you think?  Have I inspired you at all?  I sure hope so!  Give Stuck?! Sketches a visit for more inspiration and be sure to link up by January 29 for your chance to win some great prizes.  And now for the sketch...

Go have some fun with it!  I look forward to seeing your creation.  Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping to you and, again, Happy New Year!
