sibling selfies

Hello and Happy July!
Today is the first of the month so that means we have a new sketch up at Stuck?!  This one is all about triangles.  I've noticed it's been all the rave lately.  I've replaced the triangles with diamonds, but it's still considered the same, right?  Also with this month's sketch we have partnered up with Frosted Designs and they are requesting the use of punches or die cuts on our layouts.
Here is my take.

These selfies were taken in 2004, when selfies weren't so cool, or should I say weren't so popular.  When my daughter got a camera in her hand, watch out!  Her brother Ryan was usually the one whom had to suffer.  She loved, and still loves, to take selfies.

My triangle background paper used for this layout is by Heidi Swapp.  The diamond die cuts are from my December 2013 Studio Calico kit.  I could never quite figure out how to use them in a layout and when I seen Laura's sketch and the request from Frosted Designs to use die cuts they instantly came to mind!  I really like how it turned out.

Here are a few close ups for better detail.

Now it's your turn!  Go have some fun with it!  Make it your own and be sure to upload before July 29 for a chance to win some fantastic prizes, and if you used punches or die cuts be sure to link up at Frosted Designs too for another chance to win.  For further details and tons of inspiration be sure to stop by Stuck?! Sketches.  And now for the sketch.

That's it for today.  I hope I have inspired you in some way.  Thanks so much for stopping by and happy scrapping!

It's time again for a new sketch at Stuck?!  This one is a fun one with many possibilities and I hope you find the time to join in with us!  Here is my take.

This is our lil' Molly!  Grand babies are so fun!  She loves the outdoors and she just can't enough of being outside.  Here she is, dressed and ready, showing off her new raincoat and new rain boots.  Now just bring on the rain!

Okay, now for the sketch

It's a good one, right?  Go have some fun with it and be sure to link up by June 29 to win some fabulous prizes by random pick.  For full details and inspiration click here.

Here are a couple of close ups for more detail.

I created this layout with the Hello Sunshine collection by Pink Paislee, including embellishments.  Perfect colors and theme for my photo.  I just had to add the adorable duck paperclip.  How cute is that!?  Love it!

Well, that's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by!  Again, I hope that you can join in with us.  Go give it a shot!

turning Twenty One

We've got a new challenge up at Challenge YOUrself  - My boy!  With father's day being right around the corner this month's challenge is all about the boys.  Create a layout about YOU and a male in your life.  It can be any male, including your pet.

Here is my layout to share

This is my son and I, celebrating his 21st birthday last month.  I still cant believe he is 21.  This is my baby!  Oh my gosh, where has the time gone??

For this layout I used the Cut & Paste collection Presh by MME.  I kept it very clean and simple with this one.  I'm very happy with the outcome, it still packs enough punch.

Here are a couple of close ups for more detail

Now it's your turn!  Go give it a try and be sure to link up by July 5 for a chance to win some scrappy goodies. Stop by Challenge YOUrself for full details and for tons of inspiration from our creative DT.

CRICUT love

Hello and happy June to you!
With today being the first of the month that means we have a new sketch up at Stuck?! Sketches.  Here is my take to share with you

This photo was taken back in 2007 when the Cricut craze was going on at the CHA in Chicago.  So, of course, my friend Rhonda and I had to get our photo taken with the popular green bug to show our love and to my surprise Rhonda stole the moment and got in a kiss.  Such fun!  Gotta love it!

For this layout I used Sketchbook by Amy Tangerine.  I just love the fun bright colors in this line.  The matching embellishments are also by Amy Tangerine.  Check out the little green creature stuck onto the wooden polaroid frame!  Isn't he cute?  Its made by Doodlebug and it looks just like the cricut bug, so I had to include him.  For the background border, I used a glitz roller with white ink but it wasn't bright enough for me, so I traced over it with a white marker.  Here are a few close ups for better detail

I sure had fun putting this layout together and such great memories came to mind too.  Here is the sketch to follow.  Give it a try and have your own fun with it!  Be sure to link up by June 28 for your chance to win some scrappy goodness!  Click here for full participation details.

For more inspiration give Stuck?! a visit now to check out what our other designers have done with the sketch.

Thanks for much for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

daddys Happy Girl

Hello!  Hello!
Today we have a new sketch up at Stuck?! and here is my take.

The title say it all!  Our little granddaughter is such a happy girl and a daddy's girl too.  I just happened to catch that perfect moment for this awesome photo.  I just love it!

For this layout I used a mixture of papers from two Calico Studio kits.  Sept 2013, Double Scoop and Feb 2014, Sugar Rush.  Its nice being able to mix and match from kit to kit.  It sure gives  you a lot more choices, but it can be overwhelming as well!

and now onto the sketch...

and here are a few close ups for better detailing.

Love, love, love all wooden accents!  I think I put at least one on every layout.

Love the colored plastic hearts by Studio Calico.  They are so darn cute!  More wood accents with the word 'daddys' added to the title.

I added a small doilie behind the photo and stamped the date below it.  I love the ombre effect stamping gives when you do it multiple times.

I added ink splatters and enamel dots for some color and dimension, along with another wooden piece.

That's it!  Pretty easy peasy and so darn cute!  I like how it all turned out.  Be sure to stop by Stuck?! for more inspiration and be sure to link up by May 29 for your chance to win some awesome prizes by random pick!

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

These Two

Happy hump day!
Today is the 7th which means there is a new challenge over at Challenge YOUrself!  This month we have a sketch to follow and the theme is to scrap about an important female(s) in your life.  And don't forget to include YOU in the photo!  Here is my layout...

Pictured here are two very special ladies in my life!  We started out as just neighbors and now we are the best of friends.  They truly are good to me and I am lucky to share my everyday life with them!

Ok, and now for the sketch to follow.

For this layout I used the March 2014 Studio Calico kit called Office Hours, along with some vellum paper.  I fell in complete love with the background paper!  I just love the colors and it was perfect for my photo.  Here are a few close ups for better detail.

The title are chipboard letters by Thickers.  One of my addictions and I think I own every set!

I came across this bubble chipboard piece in my stash that I've had for months.  I colored it with a white dabber to match my layout.  Layered it with a preprinted vellum piece and an arrow paperclip.  Also adding a couple of little paper punched butterflies.  Aren't they cute?  Did you notice the little red flowers in the background?  Those are by Studio Calico, also included in the March kit.  I sprinkled them around throughout my layout.  I love the pop of color it adds.

Staying with the vellum detail, I cut out a few strips for my journaling and lightly inked the edges.  Here's a peek at my birds on a wire washi tape too.  That is one of my faves!

I painted, with my grey dabber, 2 wooden girl peoples to play along with my title.  So darn cute!  Another of my faves!

That is for today.  I hope my layout has inspired you enough to give this months challenge a try at Challenge YOUrself.  Give them a visit and check out the other designs for more inspiration.  Be sure to link up by June 5 for a chance to win a fabulous prize!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Happy scrapping to you!

sugar & spice

Hello and happy Thursday to you!  Hang in there, it is almost the weekend!
Today is the first day of a new month meaning we have a new sketch up at Stuck?!  I do hope that you can find the time to join in with us.  Its a fun sketch and here is my take...

This is my granddaughter at 3 months.  Isn't she the cutest lil' thing you have ever seen?!  For this layout I used my February kit from Studio Calico called Sugar Rush.  I just love the papers included especially the one I used for my background!  So yummy!

and now for the sketch to follow... How fun is this one, right?  So many ways to work with it.

Here are few close ups of my layout for better detail.

The kraft die cut shapes are included in the kit, I just added twine to the tag.  How cute are the plastic colored hearts by Studio Calico?  As for the chipboard camera, that was a misc piece from my stash.

I added a small doilie and the homemade yoyo, topped with a wooden button.  Slowly eleminating some of my stash.

The title letters are by Thickers and the box letters are by October Afternoon.  Perfect colors!  Its so nice how you can mix product and make it work together.

Well, that is it for today.  I'm happy with the way my layout turned out and I hope its inspired you to join in with us at Stuck?!  Hop over for a visit and for more inspiration.  Be sure to link up by May 29 for a chance to win some awesome prizes by random pick!
