With Age Comes Grandkids

We have a new challenge for you at Challenge YOUrself.  This month it's all about celebrating your age.  Scrap your age, right now, today!  Here is my take

I'm celebrating my age by being a grammie!  One title I wear proudly and I absolutely love it!  A new phase in life for me and I couldn't be happier.

I FINALLY encouraged myself to use my sewing machine!!  This is my first time using this technique on a layout!  I'm so proud of myself and I think it turned out great!  I'll defiantly be trying this more often.  Here are a couple of close ups for better detail.

For this layout I used my 6x6 BasicGrey Kneehighs collection, the chipboard pieces are from the same collection as well.  I punched out 2-inch circles from the variety of patterned papers and for three of those circles I added a white border which I cut with my decorative scissors.  Added my journaling onto paper strips and topped it off with some wooden accents.  I've got to say, that stitching really sets it off.  Love it!

Now it's your turn!  Are you brave enough to scrap your age?  Sure you are!  It's only a number, right?  Be sure to link up by Sept 4 to win a great prize and don't forget to include YOU in the picture!  Go check out Challenge YOUrself for tons of inspiration and have fun with it!

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping to you.
