My Kind Of Meditation

 Hello friends and Happy February!

I can not believe it is February.  My goodness where has the time gone?  Our winter has been so mild that it makes the time move even faster.  

A new month means a new challenge is up and waiting for you at Challange YOUrself.  This month's theme is about mediation.  How do you meditate?  How do you relax?

Here is my take...

Yep!  This is how I meditate!!  

Some yoga + some wine = relaxing.  Ha!  It was such a fun day spent with my girls.  

For this layout I used a fall kit from Hip Kit Club.  The colors were perfect, and it was a fall day.  This design is such a great way to use up those paper strips too.

All The Feels

 Happy New Year!

We're a good week in already and how is 2023 treating you so far?  It's going very well my way.  Been rather busy actually and that is why my post is a bit late.  I still have my Christmas tree up too.  Ha!  That's okay, all those twinkling lights make me smile.

I've got a new layout to share today for our new challenge this month.  

The theme is: 2022...the year in review.

You can interpret it any way you like.  For example, you can scrap about how one experience changed/stood out for you, or about different experiences you had, or you can put your photos in chronological order.  Scrap it however you like, it's up to you!

I decided on one experience that truly changed my life and changed me as a person. Posada Ladies Retreat. I cant put it into words how grateful I am for this experience.  It was something I didn't even realize I needed.

This Posada Ladies Retreat was something way out of my comfort zone and ended up being the best thing that happened to me in 2022.  A reset. A new look on life and tons of new freindships.

For this layout I used an older Hip Kit Club scrapbook kit.  The vibrant, happy colors were perfect!

Just Us Moments

 Hello and happy December!

Omgoodness!!  Where has the year gone?  So much to do yet before Christmas.  It's always so hectic during these last few weeks of the year, but I wouldn't want it any other way!

With the new month upon us a new challenge has been posted at Challenge YOUrself, just waiting for you.  

Dig out those b&w photos and get to scrapping!

Here is my inspiration for you...

Me and my love out doing what we do best.  Our home away from home at the lake.  I just love these moments.  This is life to me.  Love our alone time together!

For this layout I dabbled into a couple of my older Hip Kit Club scrapbook kits, using up some stash.  This design is out of my comfort zone but I do love how it turned out.  The b&w photo really tops it off.

Now it's your turn.  Time to get creative with those b&w photos and remember to include you in a photo.  That is a must to qualify for a chance to win some goodies.

Happy Little Moments

 Happy November and happy reveal day at Challenge YOUrself.

This month we want you to create a layout using your own  handwritten journaling.  It can be simple with only a few lines or go bigger with paragraphs.  I typically journal on most of my layouts so this one was an easy challenge for me, but I decided to go big with lots of journaling.

This trip, with this girl, was just amazing!!  One that I will never forget for so many reasons.  

This photo, I love it!  It nails our friendship!

Once I started journaling I almost ran out of room.  Ha!!  That sure doesn't happen very often. 

I could have went on and on.

For this layout I used very little to complete it.  One background paper and a package of ephemera.  Both from Hip Kit Club.  It came together quit easy and I'm loving the turn out.  I love those easy layouts.

 Happy October!!

I can not believe how fast the fall came upon us.  I'm not happy about it either.  This girl is a summer girl, all the way!

Okay, now it's time to reveal our new challenge at Challenge YOUrself.  This month we've got a sketch for you to follow, created by Page Maps.  I love following sketches and having that base to go off of.  Here is my inspiration for you...

Grands make life grand!  Wouldn't you agree?  They are so fun and they absolutely love Halloween, and so does Grammie and Grandpa.  

For this layout I used a Halloween collection by Simple Stories along with some misc. product as well.  I still trying to bash my stash.  I absolutely love how it turned out!!

Love My Sunday Fundays

 Happy September my friends!

I am so sad to see the summer coming to an end.  I am not ready to put away my shorts but, I will say, I'm ready to get out my fashion boots.  I love my boots!

With it being the beginning of a new month that means we have a new challenge up at Challenge YOUrself.  This one is all about celebrating!  Show us how you celebrate a good time.

Here is mine for inspiration...

Me and my girls out celebrating Sunday Funday.  I can always count on a good time with this group.  We try to do this once a month.  These kinds of days keep me sane.  Girl time is so good for my soul.

For this layout I used an older Hip Kit Club kit of mine.  I cannot pinpoint the exact one used.  It's probably a mixture of more than one kit actually.  I'm in the process of trying to use up all of my older stash.

I'm just loving the colorful paper and flower clusters against my black & white photo.  Topped off with the black title.  I love how it turned out!!

Never Forget This

 Happy August!

Oh my goodness, where is the summer going?  It needs to slow down because I am not ready for the cooler months.

This month at Challenge YOUrself our challenge is about tough times.  How do you handle them?  This really gives you the opportunity to think about it and dig deep.  Here is mine to inspire you.

Losing my mom unexpectedly was the hardest thing I have ever encountered.  It's been years but it's something you never get over, you just learn to live with it.  

For this layout I used bits and pieces of my stash.  I've had this diecut background piece forever.  With it being flowers it was the perfect match.  I really love how it all came together.
