Your Day

Hello scrappy friends and happy July!
Happy Birthday America

It's a new month so you know what that means?  A new challenge is waiting for you at Challenge YOUrself.  This month it's all about shapes.  We want you to create a layout using a shape as your vocal point.

Here is my take... I used the tag shape.

On this day we celebrated my honey on his 65th birthday.  It was still during the quarantine times so I was very grateful to have us all together.

For this layout I used an aray of product from my stash.  The tags are from Cosmo Cricket (2013).  The background paper is from Crate Paper (2013) with some misc embellishments and letter stickers from my stash as well.

I'm happy with my outcome.  The colors, the design, the photos... they all flow very well together.

Now it's your turn!  Go pick your shape and get to work.  So many possibilities with this challenge.  Remember to include YOU in a photo, that's a must!  Be sure to share with us at Challenge YOUrself as well, for your chance to win some goodies!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Adventure

 Hello friends!

I'm here today to share a new layout created for this month's challenge at Challenge YOUrself.  It's all about washy tape!!  Who doesn't have loads of washy just waiting to be used?  Well, this is your chance.

Here is my design...

I just love the adventures that me and my honey go on.  Camel riding along the ocean in Cabo was one of my favorites.

For this layout I used the variety set of washy tape by My Mind's Eye from the Cut & Paste collection.  The colors match perfect with my photo and I love how it turned out!  All of the strips you see are pieces of washy so most of my layout solely consists of washy tape.  So many possibilities with this challenge.

Now it's your turn!  Get creative with all that washy tape sitting in a drawer.  Be sure to include YOU in a photo and to share it with us at Challenge YOUrself for your chance to win a fun prize!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I look forward to seeing your layout.

VOTE VOTE VOTE

Hello scrappy friends and happy May!

We've go a new challenge posted at Challenge YOUrself.  This month we'd like you to put "your best face forward." You can interpret the theme in many ways, for example, you can create a layout with you wearing your favorite mask, showing off your mask collection, or just showing off your best side, etc...

Here is my take.

Just me, wearing a disposable quarantine mask, doing my part.  I consider this my "best face forward" for 2020. I took full advantage of the early voting that was being offered.  I was lucky enough to hit the right timing going in and only had a couple people in front of me.  However, it was a different story coming out.

For this layout I used the Sweet Liberty paper collection by Echo Park.  I also added some coordinating stickers by Bella Blvd, along with some misc bling.  It all came together fairly quickly and I love the turn out!

Now it's your turn!  Show us your "best face forward" layout and be sure to share it with us at Challenge YOUrself for your chance at a fun prize!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

You Are My SonShine

 Hello friends!!

It's a new month so that means a new challenge is up and ready for you to tackle at Challenge YOUrself.  We've got a fun and challenging one this time.

Alphabet Soup!
What is that you ask?
We want you to choose a letter from the alphabet and use it to complete your layout.  For example, if you chose "P"... use paints, pearls, etc. and/or a title that starts with "P".  You get the idea, right?

Here is mine for inspiration...

I chose the letter "S" and I applied...
- Sunburst stencil
- Stitching
- Stickles
-Stamping (date)
- "S" title
- Simple Stories Paper Collection

This is my son and he will forever be my "son"shine.  I used too sing that song to him as a child all the time.  Switching up words making it our own.  I just love this photo of us.  It's an older one but still a beautiful memory of us on Mother's Day.

For this layout I used the So Happy Together collection by Simple Stories.  The colors and prints are perfect for a boy layout. It's been forever since I used a stencil.  I have tons actually so I need to start getting them out more.

Okay, now it's your turn!  Think about what letter you'd like to use and create a layout with it.  Be sure to share with us at Challenge YOUrself for your chance to win a fun prize!

My Name Is...

 Happy March!!
Ahh, just hearing the word March makes me feel good... knowing that spring is right around the corner.  I'm so ready for warmer weather and it is slowly arriving.

With it being a new month that means a new challenge has been posted at Challenge YOUrself.  This one is all about YOU.  We want you to tell us about yourself.  Here is mine for inspiration...

This challenge is also a great opportunity to take that perfect selfie or to use that favorite one that you've been hoarding.  I used one that I have been hoarding.  Ha!  I think it's perfect at showing my personality.

For this layout I stumbled upon some papers from Pinkfresh in an older Hip Kit Club scrapbook kit, one of which I used to fussy cut the flowers and leaves.  The embellishments are just misc picks from my stash.  It all came together fairly easy and I'm happy with my turnout, however, all the white space is a tough one for me.  Something I'm trying to be okay with.  At times less is more, right?

Now it's your turn!  Go create a "YOU" layout and tell us all about yourself.  Be sure to share it with us at Challenge YOUrself for a chance to win a fun prize.

Grandchildren - A Love Like No Other

 Hello, hello and happy February!

With it being a new month we've got a new challenge posted at Challenge YOUrself.  Since February is the month of love our theme is... yep, you guessed it!  LOVE.

How do you celebrate love?
Whether it be about somebody you love or something you love, we want to see it created into a layout.
Here is mine for inspiration...

Grandchildren is how I celebrate love.  I'm a proud Grammie of five and I absolutely love it!!  I can't quite explain the feeling I get when I'm with them, however, the love that is generated is overwhelming!

For this layout I used my January 2020 Hip Kit Club kit.  The papers and embellishments are by Pinkfresh - My Favorite Story collection.  The large quotes are cut from a patterned paper and colored in with marker, then placed together to form the quotes.  It was a great way to cover up that dead space.

Now it's your turn!  Go have some with it and don't forget to include YOU in a photo, that's a must. Give Challenge YOUrself a visit for all the challenge details and for tons of inspiration.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hustle Chicago

 Happy, happy New Year!
Goodbye to 2020... and hello to 2021!
Let's hope for some "back to normal" way of life soon.
I do hope that you are all staying healthy and safe.

With a new month upon us it's time to get creative with a new challenge posted at Challenge YOUrself.  This month we want to see your most favorite memory of 2020.

My favorite memory was instant and one of the most accomplished feelings I've ever encountered.
Hustle Chicago - climbing 94 floors in 26.06 minutes.

I trained for 3 months prior on the stairmaster, climbing stair after stair after stair... which totally paid off!  My goal was to complete in under 30 minutes.  I conquered that goal and I'm so proud of myself!  Check mark off my bucket list.  I still get a high from the memory!

For this layout I used an older 2016 collection Healthy Hello Soup by Jillibean Soup.  I've been doing some stash bashing as well, so that explains the older products. As for the design, meh.  I decided to go outside of my box and work with a large photo by creating an 8x10 collage so I could fit multiple photos into my layout.  Let's just say this wasn't what I had in mind but this is just what it morphed into.

Now it's your turn.  What favorite memory of 2020 pops into your mind?  This is your chance to turn it into a layout.  Go have some fun with it!  Be sure to share it with us at Challenge YOUrself for your chance to win some fun goodies.  Also be sure to include YOU in a photo, that's a must.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Happy Scrapping!
