Helloooo crafty friends! Happy New Year's Eve!
I have here this weeks layout for Lets Get Sketchy! There is no actual sketch to follow, but there is a challenge. Which is to scrap a "not so picture perfect" photo. That one photo you wouldnt normally scrap because its out of focus, bad lighting, uneven, or you cut off the subject. Whatever the case may be, get that picture and scrap it! I have so many of them and for some reason I cant seem to delete them. So this challenge was perfect and I loved completing it!
Here is what I came up with...
This is me with my granddaughter, Molly. I recently started babysitting a couple days a week since her mom went back to work, with one of those days being Monday. So now my Mondays are called Molly Mondays. This picture is "not so picture perfect" It's our mirrored reflection that I took with my phone. The lighting is horrible, the color is horrible, it's out of focus and there is some large object in the way. But I dont care, its the memory that is priceless! I just couldnt delete it!
Now its your turn. We all have that "bad" photo! Get scrappy and get creative! I cant wait to see what you come up with.
Thanks for stopping by and have a safe and happy New Year!

Pregnancy mini book "BABY"
Hello friends! How was your Christmas? Are things winding down for you yet? Not so much on my end, but after the New Year I think it will and I'll have more time to scrap! Actually I love this time of year, so I'll take the chaos while I can!
During this busy time, I finally completed this mini book for my DIL and I wanted to share it. Mind you, I started it in August! I always seem to do this... start a project, set it aside and then finish it at the very last minute! Why do I do this????
Anyway, I am happy with how it turned out. All the photos are taken by me! It was so much fun trying new poses. Thank goodness for Pinterest! Jen was so patient with me and my camera during her pregnancy and so was our son Matt, and I thank them for that.
I dont make many mini books, but with the few that I have completed I make all the pages the same size. But with this one I made the front and back cover larger, to protect the inner pages. I wasnt so sure about this, but I really like it! What do you think?

Double Vision - LGS - Dec wk 3
Hello Hello! And happy Monday to you! How was your weekend? Mine was great! I got in some scrappy time and some family time. It seems to be harder and harder to do anything relaxing with Christmas just around the corner.
Anyway... we've got a new sketch at Lets Get Sketchy this week and here it is. I sure hope you find time to join in with at least one of them this month.
and here is my DT take on it after turning the sketch...
My daughter went through a phase where she was constantly taking pictures of herself. With this one she was leaning against a mirror and caught her reflection as well. I just think it looks so cool.
Thanks so much for stopping by and your comments are much appreciated!
