 Hello scrappy friends!  Happy December!!

New month means new challenge!  This month at Challenge YOUrself is Anything Goes!!  The best kind of challenge out there.  It's a total free for all.

Here is mine for inspiration.

 I absolutely love this photo!

This is our tribe and it is now complete as of August.  Our last child got married at the beginning of August and our last grandchild was born in mid August. 

For this layout I used absolutely everything from my stash.  From the paper to the the embellishments.  Nothing is of a certain collection.  I've been really trying to use up my stash this past year and I'm going to continue.  It's fun finding stuff you forgot you had.

Happy Birthday

 Hello friends and happy November!

Say what?? 

The holidays are just around the corner!  

When did that happen?  

You know what happens when we enter a new month... 

a new challenge at Challenge YOUrself is up and ready for you to tackle.  

Dig out those stamp sets!  It's all about using stamps this month.  

This one got me out of my box because I never stamp.  I need to do this more often because I've got tons of them.  Here is my inspiration.

This is us celebrating our oldest granddaughter.  Nine years old!! Omgoodness!  

Where does the time go?  Isn't she just beautiful?!!

For this layout all I used was a piece of craft paper and a sticker sheet from Echo Park's Happy Birthday 2017 collection. I stamped the polka dot background and a couple highlight words in the journaling. I also added a resin Happy Birthday piece from an actual birthday cake decor as the title.  Ha!  I'm always keeping odds and ends to use on future layouts.  Does anybody else do this?

What do you think?  I'm very pleased with my outcome by using very little product.

A Grandmother's Love Is Forever

 Hello scrappy friends and happy October!

I'm not ready for summer to end!  However, our fall weather has been perfect so far.  It's starting to look like fall but still feels like summer.  I love it!

With a new month upon us it's time to share a new challenge at Challenge YOUrself.  This month we are working with color, or should I say a splash of color. We would like to see a black and white layout with only one other color choice.

Here is mine for inspiration...

Say hello to Bentlee Alexander... born August 20, 2021.  

He is the absolute sweetest boy and I couldn't be more proud to be his Grammie.

I'm a total sucker for grid designs and I love how this turned out.  Clean and simple but yet very powerful!  My papers and embellishments are all 100% mixture from my stash.  My "LOVE" title is a woodsie that I painted black and I then typed the rest of my title onto white scrap paper.  Easy peasy!

Life Is Better With Friends

 Happy September friends!

OMG where did August go?  I'm not ready for the summer to end!

With it being a new month, you know what that means... we've got a new challenge ready for you to tackle at Challenge YOUrself.  This months theme is all about friendship!  We all have those special friends that mean so much to us.  This is your opportunity to tell us and show us all about them and to document those memories.

Here is mine for inspiration...

These two right here are so good for my soul and deserve to be documented!  I can always count on them being there for me! 

For this layout I used the Best Friends collection by PhotoPlay.  Perfect, right?  I just love the happy, bright colors.  Describes my layout and my friendship to a tee!  I added some misc cursive titles from my stash for balance and you can never go wrong with simple white cardstock strips for journaling.  I'm a sucker for grid designs and I love how this turned out.

Home Fitness

 Hello friends and happy August!

Wow!  This summer is moving by so quickly.

We have a new challenge up and waiting for you at Challenge YOUrself.  This month the theme is "self care".  Please create a layout showing us what you do for self care.  

For me... my home fitness routine is self care.

Ever since my gym closed during the pandemic, I got myself used to a home fitness routine that I absolutely LOVE!  Because of it, I feel amazing!!  It's very important to me to get my workouts in regardless of my day. 

For this layout I used all things from my stash.  I fussy cut the row of street buildings.  I felt it perfect for that "home" feeling.  As for the rest ... I'm sorry I have no product description.  I've been stash bashing and I did not save info from this this bash.  Nonetheless, I love the turnout!

 Hello scrappy friends and happy July!

Happy Birthday America

It's a new month so you know what that means?  A new challenge is waiting for you at Challenge YOUrself.  This month it's all about shapes.  We want you to create a layout using a shape as your vocal point.

Here is my take... I used the tag shape.

On this day we celebrated my honey on his 65th birthday.  It was still during the quarantine times so I was very grateful to have us all together.

For this layout I used an aray of product from my stash.  The tags are from Cosmo Cricket (2013).  The background paper is from Crate Paper (2013) with some misc embellishments and letter stickers from my stash as well.  

I'm happy with my outcome.  The colors, the design, the photos... they all flow very well together.

Adventure

 Hello friends!

I'm here today to share a new layout created for this month's challenge at Challenge YOUrself.  It's all about washy tape!!  Who doesn't have loads of washy just waiting to be used?  Well, this is your chance.

Here is my design...

I just love the adventures that me and my honey go on.  Camel riding along the ocean in Cabo was one of my favorites.  

For this layout I used the variety set of washy tape by My Mind's Eye from the Cut & Paste collection.  The colors match perfect with my photo and I love how it turned out!  All of the strips you see are pieces of washy so most of my layout solely consists of washy tape.  So many possibilities with this challenge.
