Rollin' To Go

Today is my DT day at Scrap Our Stash!  For this challenge we have a sketch to follow.  It's all about circles and I have to admit they have always been a challenge for me so I'm excited to share my layout.

Enjoying a day in Cozumel while on a week long cruise with a some fun scrappy girls.  I was determined to used that cute little chipboard scooter so these pictures were perfect!

For this layout I used the Daily Stories collection by Teresa Collins.  I felt the prints and colors really complimented my photos well.  I put my circle punches to good use for the variety of circles used and added a few misc embellishments to top it off.  For this challenge we were also asked to include homemade flowers, my choice being fringe flowers.  They are quite easy to make too.  Please stay tuned because I will be having a tutorial on how to make these very soon!

Now it's your turn!  Go have some fun with the sketch and be sure to link up with Scrap Our Stash by May 29 for your chance at an awesome prize!  Give us a visit for full challenge rules and for tons of inspiration.

Thanks for much for stopping by!  And as always, happy scrapping to you!

My Kind Of Wonderful

Hello scrappy friends and happy hump day!
Today I am up at Scrap Our Stash with this month's word stash challenge.  Our word is EMBOSS and here is my layout to share.

This is my whole gang and I can never get enough of this!  The day was full of Easter festivities and tons of laughter.  I must also say this, if you have not yet invested in a selfie stick... DO SO NOW!  They are so much fun!

My layout is pretty clean and simple for this one.  I tend to gravitate towards that style, if there is a such thing as a "style".

I used Daily Stories by Teresa Collins, I really like the soft muted colors with my photo and I kept my embellishing minimal, just enough for balance.    To complete this challenge I used

E - embellishements
M - metal hearts
B - butterfly
O - ombre chevron arrows
S - stickles (highlighting hearts, butterfly and one cheron)
S - sticker letters

Now it's your turn!  These word challenges are so fun!  They really get you to use up your stash.  Give it a try and you'll be addicted!

Be sure to link up with us by May 29 for your chance to win!  Give Scrap Our Stash a visit for all the details and for tons of inspiration to get you going!

They Make Me Smile

A new month has begun so that means a new challenge is up at Challenge YOUrself.  For this month's challenge we've got a fun sketch to follow and here is my take.

Aww, my title says it all!  These two make me smile every time I see them.  That's what grandchildren are all about and I just can't get enough of them!

My layout is pretty simple, but with the many strips of printed washi tape it gives it quite a bang!  I just added some mist drops and kept the embellishing light to help with the flow and to cover some white space.  As for the half circles, I traced a stencil, moving it slightly for each one.

Now it's your turn to give it a try!  Go have some fun with it and make the sketch your own!

Be sure to link up with us before June 5 for your chance to win!  Visit Challenge YOUrself for full challenge details and for tons of inspiration to get you going!

Thanks so much for visiting and happy scrapping to you!

Cancun, Mexico

I've got a new layout to share with you today for Scrap Our Stash.  With this sketch we've got a mood board to follow as well.  It's your choice as what inspires you about the board to scrap.  For me, it was the colors.  I just love bright, happy colors!

It doesn't get much better than this!  On vacation in Cancun partying it up at Senior Frogs.  A must place to visit if you are ever in Mexico.  It's such a good time!

For this layout I used Sketchbook by Amy Tangerine.  This collection was perfect for the colors.  It's older, I know, but I just cant part with it.  Besides that's all part of being on Scrap Our Stash, using up your stash/older product, right?  I gathered bits and pieces of the papers and did some fussy cutting as well.  Digging dipper into my stash I found an old yellow flower doilie and some homemade yoyo flowers I've had sitting in a jar for years.  I'm pretty happy with the outcome and it just makes me smile every time I look at it.  The colors are just awesome and so was that evening!

Now it's your turn.  There are so many possibilities with this sketch!

and there are even more possibilities with the mood board.  Be sure to include in your layout what inspired you from the board.  It can be the colors, shapes, phrases, etc... Just let us know.

Be sure to link up with Scrap Our Stash by April 29 to be entered into our monthly prize drawing and/or for a chance to be selected as one of our DT Top 3 Picks!  Give them a visit for loads of ideas and good luck!

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

Scrap Happy

I'm up at Scrap Our Stash today sharing my new layout for this month's stash challenge.  We want you to create a layout and to include an item from your stash for each letter in the word STAMP.  Here is mine.

Me and my scrappy girls enjoying some silly time during a scrappy day at our local scrapbook store.  They recently moved to a new location and we were sharing some well deserved advertising for their new digs!  It was such a fun day.  One can never get enough of this!

I actually dug out an older collection Party Day from Crate Paper for this layout.  I felt it was a perfect choice for the occasion and photos, as well as using up more of my stash.  I just finished it off with some strips of journaling and a fun title.  Here is my list of stash items used -

S  - strips of journaling
T - tickets
A - alphas
M - marker (journaling)
P - pinwheel

and here are some closeups for you.

Like I said, it was such a fun day and as I was creating this I had a smile on my face the whole time.  Do you have photos that do this to you too, as you work?

Now it's your turn!  These stash challenges are such a great way to use up your stash AND they are so fun to create!  Give it a try!

You have until April 29 to link up with Scrap Our Stash for your chance to win and/or to be chosen as our top 3!  I cant wait to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

AM Routine

Hello and Happy Tuesday!
I've got a new layout to share with you today and this one is for Challenge YOUrself.  We've got a new challenge for April posted today and it's all about how you carry on with your day.  We'd like you to show us some snippets of your normal everyday life.  Here is my take.

I decided on documenting my morning routine.  This is what I do every morning to get my day started.  If I don't follow this routine I feel out of sorts for the day.  Does that happen with you too?

This layout is a mixture of paper scraps and misc little bits.  It's all from my stash that I've been working so hard to use up.  Slowly but surely my piles are shrinking!  I topped it off with some mist splatters and some stamping.  Here are some closeups for a closer view.

How cute is that flair sun?  I made it at the Novi Mega Meet 2 years ago.  See, I've got some old stash!  But it was too darn cute to toss.  I knew I'd find a place for it.

Now it's your turn to join in.  Give Challenge YOUrself a visit for full challenge rules and for lots of inspiration/ideas.  I'm excited to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping to you!

Love This Moment

I'm up on Scrap Our Stash blog today with my take on our March sketch challenge.  However, there is an added requirement with this one, that's to include gold embellishments.  Fun, right?  Gold is all the rave right now and this gives you an opportunity to get some used up!  Add a little or a lot, it's your call.

Aww, there he is, the man I now call my husband.  On this day, 02-12-15, after 20+ years together, we finally made it official.  This photo was taken right before we darted off to the courthouse to get married!  It was perfect!  Nothing big, just very sweet and intimate with our children present.

As you can see I kept it very simple with my gold embellishing.  I added just enough to give it a little sparkle.  My papers used are a mixture from my Gossamer Blue kits and they have touches of gold accents too.  I just love these monthly kits and how I am able to mix product from month to month and it all works.  My clusters are made of the "kiss kiss" ephemera pack from Crate Paper.  Here are a few close ups.

Now it's your turn!  There are so many possibilities with this sketch so go have some fun with it and make it your own.  I actually stayed pretty true to it, except for mirroring the placement.

Be sure to link up with Scrap Our Stash by March 29 to be entered into our monthly prize drawing and/or for a chance to be selected as our DT top 3 picks!

Thanks so much for stopping by and as always, happy scrapping to you!
