Never Forget This

 Happy August!

Oh my goodness, where is the summer going?  It needs to slow down because I am not ready for the cooler months.

This month at Challenge YOUrself our challenge is about tough times.  How do you handle them?  This really gives you the opportunity to think about it and dig deep.  Here is mine to inspire you.

Losing my mom unexpectedly was the hardest thing I have ever encountered.  It's been years but it's something you never get over, you just learn to live with it.  

For this layout I used bits and pieces of my stash.  I've had this diecut background piece forever.  With it being flowers it was the perfect match.  I really love how it all came together.

Hello Summer

 Hello friends and happy June!

A new month means a new challenge is posted at Challenge YOUrself.  This month we've got a beautiful mood board for you.  It's just full of so many possibilities!!

The colors, the water and the summertime vibe is what caught my attention!  Here is my inspiration...

Me and my honey doing what we love!  Boating the day away as we soak up that sunshine.  
This, to us, is living the good life.

I'm still bashing my stash so for this layout I used one of my older Hip Kit Club scrapbook kits.  The colors and theme matched the mood board perfectly.  I did some fussy cutting, which I love to do, with the flowers.  It came together so fast and I love the turnout!

Living The Sweet Life

 Hello friends and hello to the new month of  May!

Today I am sharing my take on our new challenge just released at Challenge YOUrself.  This month we'd like you to create a layout about something you love.  Examples being... family, pets, job, hobby, a favorite food or even a pair of shoes.  The possibilities are endless!

I've got many loves. Ha! However, frozen yogurt is pretty high up there.

To me froyo is life!  I'm eating it every chance I get.  Topped off with friends and laughter.  I'd say that's the perfect combination!

For this layout I used one of my older monthly kits from Hip Kit Club.  Not very often do I use blue as my primary focus but this combo was perfect!  My pics really pop and it blends so well together.

 Hello friends and happy April!

With a new month upon us it's time to share our latest challenge at Challenge YOUrself.  This month marks our 100th challenge!  How cool is that?  So we're celebrating with stars!  Show us all the stars.  Go dig out all that you have and start creating.  Here is mine for inspiration...

Aww, I love this picture of my husband and I.  He is an amazing man and he truly is my always <3

This layout was created with all scraps and stash.  It's pretty clean and simple but I love how it turned out!  The picture is my focal point and it just pops off the page.  The little touches of the doodling around the edges and some of the stars gives it life and then the journeling, that's always important to fit in.

Hello and Happy March!

I just love that it's March.  I know it's still cold and snowy but just knowing spring is right around the corner makes me so happy. I'm not a winter girl.

Now let's get to the new challenge of the month over at Challenge YOUrself.  We've got a pet theme this time.  We want you to create a layout about a pet or animal.

Here is my inspiration...

Yes, I'm that crazy catlady!  I just think cats are the cutest animals on this planet.  Here I am showing off my two beauties.  Rex is the old man, he is 16 years and is my snuggler.  Pearl is the little princess, she is 6 years and is my shadow.  They are both very spoiled and I wouldn't have it any other way!

For this layout I used the Whiskers collection by PhotoPlay and I added misc washy tape and alphas to make it all come together.  I'm happy with the turnout.

Just Be You

 Hello, hello friends and Happy February to you!

With a new month upon us that means a new challenge is posted at Challenge YOUrself just waiting for your participation.  This month we are working with a color palette.  These colors just make me smile.  So pretty and refreshing!  Perfect for our gloomy February weather.

Here is my take for inspiration.

I love this selfie photo of myself showing off my muscles.  I've worked hard for them and I'm proud of them!  And now I'm addicted!

As you know, I've been using old product to use up my stash most of 2021 and I'm going to continue to the same for 2022.  So with that being said the product/papers used for this layout is all stash.  

I got out my circle punches and punched out a variety of sizes and prints, laying them out in a waterfall effect.  This is a good way to use up those paper scraps.  Added a few misc matching embellishments and some handwritten journaling to make this all come together.  I absolutely love my outcome!
