Love Our Adventures

 Hello friends and Happy December!!

With a start to a new month brings a new challenge to be tackled at Challenge YOUrself.  This month Anything Goes is your challenge.  The best and easiest challenge of all!!

Here is mine for inspiration...

I can always count on this girl to take on adventures with me.  We travel well together and I'm looking forward to 2025 and what it has in store for us!

For this layout I just grabbed a miscellaneous package of chipboard that's been in my stash for years and made it work!  I added a title and a couple strips of arrow paper and TA-DA.  It turned out so stinking cute!!  And the best part... so easy and so fast!

Now it's your turn!  Anything goes!  How can you NOT join in this month??

I'm excited to see what you create!  Don't forget to include YOU in a photo, that's always a must.  Be sure to share with us at Challenge YOUrself for a chance to win a prize.

Celebration

 Hello my creative friends!
Happy November!

This month at Challenge YOUrself we want you to create a layout using a grid pattern.  You may interpret this pattern in any way you choose.  I'm such a sucker for grids so I was pretty excited for this one.  I absolutely love grid styles!

Here's mine for inspiration.

Me and my girls <3
Celebrating my granddaughter for her birthday. A trip to Chicago and the American Girl Store.  So much fun.  Of course, it was the hottest day of the summer, but she was a trooper and enjoyed herself to the fullest.  We all did!

For this layout I used these tiny envelopes that I've had in my stash for years!  I was determined to use them and I just love how it turned out.  A minimal of product used but such a powerful punch.  Again, I just love grid formats!

Okay, now it's your turn!  Go get creative.  So, so many possibilities with this one!  Be sure to include YOU in a photo, that is a must, and share with us at Challenge YOUrself for a chance at being a winner!

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I truly appreciate your time.
Happy Scrapping to you...

Real Life

 Hello friends and happy October!
What??  Where did September go?  I'm so not ready for this colder weather, however, I am ready to cozy up in the house, lock myself in my crafty room and catch up on my unfinished projects.

This month at Challenge YOUrself we want you to create a layout using circles.  They can be cutouts, drawn on, anything goes as long as it's a circle.

Here's my creation for inspiration.

My life in pictures!  This pretty much sums up my day to day life.

For this layout I just added some circle photos to the already patterned circles on the background.  I went b&w with the photos to make them pop.  Added in some matching diecuts throughout and pop-dotted some pieces as well.

I just love how it turned out!
Now it's your turn.  Are your creative juices flowing?  Go have some fun with it!

Be sure to share with us at Challenge YOUrself by December 4th for your chance to win.  Also, don't forget to include YOU in a photo, that's a must to qualify.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I truly appreciate your time.

This Is The Life

Hello scrappy friends and happy September to you!

Today marks a new challenge to tackle at Challenge YOUrself.  This month we want you to create a layout using a lot of patterned paper.

Here is my inspiration...

Me and my love doing what we love.  We are all about pontooning and soaking up that vitamin D.  We're not ready for this to end so please stop fall from approaching!

For this layout I used a ton of patterned paper and the embellishments are patterned as well.  I went with a beach theme for the water vibe.  My design is a great way to use up those paper scraps. I really love how it turned out.

Now it's your turn!  Go have some fun with it and use up those patterned paper scraps.
This challenge is perfect for that.

Be sure to include YOU in a photo.  That is a must to qualify for our monthly prize.  Take a look at the additional inspiration from our talented designers when you share your layout with us at Challenge YOUrself.  So many possibilities with this month's challenge.

I really look forward to seeing what you come up with.  Thank you so much for stopping by.
I truly apricate your time.

Tracy

This Makes Me...

 Happy August friends!
I just blinked my eyes and... POOF!! July is gone.
I sure wish I could slow down time.

This month at Challenge YOUrself we want you to create a layout using a rainbow as your inspiration.  Here is what I created.

"Children are the rainbow of life.  Grandchildren are the pot of gold."
I couldn't agree with this phrase more.  Life is good and I've been blessed with the best!

For this layout I dug out my chalks and used a variety of colors to create a rainbow. I sprayed it with hairspray for a protection coating and it worked like a charm. No smearing.  I fussy cut out some rainbows and added a chunk of cotton balls to create the clouds.  So stinking cute!!  I just love how it turned out.

Now it's your turn!

Rainbows are so fun to create and the possibilities are endless.
Go get crafty and be sure to share with us at Challenge YOUrself for your chance to win some goodies.  And be sure to include YOU in a photo, that's a must!

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Go. See. Do.

 Hello friends and happy July!
Seriously, how did June fly by that fast?  I just love summertime and it's moving along way too quickly.

This month at Challenge YOUrself we want you to incorporate stitching to your layout.  I haven't done this in years!  So I fully enjoyed doing it.  Here is my inspiration.

So much fun with this girl!  She is so full of adventure and that's what I love about her most.  So spontaneous and ready to go in a heartbeat.

For this layout I dug out my stitching stencils and paper poker.  As stated before, I haven't done this in years.  It was quite interesting at first, but I quickly got the hang of it, and I love the turnout.  I sprinkled some stitching throughout the layout for balance and where I feel it was needed.

I also used a variety of miscellaneous paper and embellishments for a travel theme.  This came together pretty smoothly, and I used up some more of my stash.

Now it's your turn.

Do you have some stitching stencils or a sewing machine or just a needle and thread?  Go get creative and stitch up your paper.   It's actually therapeutic too!  Ha!

Be sure to share with us at Challenge YOUrself and also don't forget to include YOU in a photo, that's a must!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Slow Days

 Happy June friends!
Where in the world did May go?  I can't believe how fast time is moving!

It's time for a new challenge at Challenge YOUrself.  This month we have a sketch to follow.  It's a fun one with so many possibilities.  Here's my inspiration.

Just look at Grammie's little guy.  This is our youngest and I had him all to myself on this day and I was just loving it up!  And I think he was too.

Here is the sketch to follow.  Again, the possibilities are endless.  You can always turn it or flip it also.

For my layout I used an older kit from Hip Kit Club.  It was the perfect combination of prints and embellishments for my photos.  I think I will forever be stash bashing.  I've got so much older product to use up.  But it's been so fun because it's all so pretty.  Ha!

Now it's your turn to get creative!  Using sketches is always the perfect way to get stared.  Go have some fun with this one!  Be sure to share with us at Challenge YOUrself for your chance to win some goodies.  And don't forget to include YOU in a photo, that's a must!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Your support is much appreciated.

30 Beautiful Years Together

 Hello friends and happy May!
This is such a gorgeous month with all of the new blooms and sweet smells in the spring air.  I just love this time of year.

This month at Challenge YOUrself, we want you to create layout using your fussy cutting skills.  I just love to fussy cut, it's very therapeutic to me.

Here is my layout for inspiration...

30 years with this man!  Omgoodness, where does the time go?  He is definitely the PB to my jelly and I wouldn't have it any other way!

For this layout I, once again, used an older scrapbook kit from Hip Kit Club.  It was loaded with the perfect soft colors, to enhance my photos and it also had that love theme feel.  I'm really trying to bash my old scrapbook stash one layout at a time.  I fussy cut the flowers, leave stems and butterflies from a printed paper.  I absolutely love the outcome!!  It actually turned out better than I envisioned.

Okay, now it's your turn!  Be brave and get to fussy cutting. Tackle that beautiful piece of printed paper you've been wanting to use.  Use that time as therapy ;) and relax as you cut.  Be sure to share with us at Challenge YOUrself before June 4 for your chance to win.  Also remember to include YOU in a photo, that is a must.

I'm so excited to see what you create!  Always a big thank you for stopping by.
Happy Scrapping.

That Look

 It's April, my friends!
Spring is here and that makes me so happy.
It's also my birthday month so let the celebrating begin. Ha!

This month at Challenge YOUrself we want you to create a layout of your favorite animal.  We all have a favorite, right?  Mine is a cat.  Yes, I'm that crazy cat lady and give me all the kitties!!

Here is my inspiration...

Omgoodness! How cute is this?  Grandkids and kitty cats?  It's the perfect combination!  Even though they are not as crazy for cats as I am, I can always count on them to join in on the fun.  And yes, this Cat Cafe is for real.  We love to visit as often as possible and it's not far us either.

For this layout I used the Chloe collection by Bella Blvd.  The theme was obvious, and the colors were perfect. I was also able to bash some stash as well.

Okay, now it's your turn!  This one is a lot of fun.  So many possibilities too.  Be sure to include YOU in a photo and share with us at Challenge YOUrself before May 4th.  I'm excited to see your outcome.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Jamaica

 Hello friends and happy March!
Ahh, just the sound of saying March warms my heart.  Meaning, spring is just around the corner.  Even though our winter has been surprisingly great so far, I want warmth and sunshine!

This month's challenge is ready and waiting for you at Challenge YOUrself.  It's a mood board and it's a pretty one.  Here is my inspiration.

Jamaica.  Our first vacation together since before the pandemic.  What a much-needed getaway it was.  Lots of sunshine, lots of beach walking, lots of good eats and treats and mostly lots of quality time together.

For this layout I used an older scrapbook kit by Hip Kit Club.  It was a tropical theme, and the colors were perfect for the mood board.

Now it's your turn.  Go search your product for these pretty colors and let your creativity take over.  Go have fun with it!  Be sure to share with us at Challenge YOUrself by March 4 for your chance to win.  Also remember to include YOU in a photo, that's a must.  I'm excited to see your layout.

Thank you for stopping by!

Costa Rica

 Happy February friends!
A new month means a new challenge at Challenge YOUrself.

What was one of your favorite memories from 2023? That's this month's theme.  Get thinking about it and then get to creating it.  Here's mine for inspiration...

This was an absolute trip of a lifetime for me!  I am a follower and huge fan of Kacy Allensworth.  She is known as the Calorie Deficit Queen.  She arranged a ladies fitness retreat in Costa Rica, and I was all over it!  I didn't hesitate to join in.  Meeting her in person was the highlight of the year for me, and visiting beautiful Costa Rica was incredible!  It was all more than I ever imagined.

For this layout I used an older scrapbook kit by Hip Kit Club.  It was a tropical theme and all the papers and embellishments were perfect.  I liked how I was able to use my Costa Rica sticker as the title.  It was spot on!

Now it's your turn!  Go have some fun creating and reliving your favorite memory.

Be sure to share with us at Challenge YOUrself before March 4 for your chance to win!  Also, remember to include YOU in a photo.  That's a must.  I'm excited to see what you create.

Organize - OLW 2024

 Happy New Year!!
Wow! Another year down just like that.
I'm looking forward to making this year the best one yet.

For this new year's first challenge at Challenge YOUrself it's that "one little word" created by Ali Edwards.  The concept is to choose a word that's important to you.  A word to focus on, to live with and to reflect upon throughout your daily life for the entire year. It can be a very powerful thing.

My chosen word is "organize" and here is my layout for inspiration.

I do not like clutter and I feel that there is a place for everything.  If not, then it has to go.  It seems I have started to accumulate unnecessary items and now it's now time to purge and reorganize.  I'm going to start with the kitchen and move room to room.  It will be a great winter project.

For this layout I just used a mixture of miscellaneous items from my stash.  I'm forever trying to dwindle it down.  For my quote, I found it on Google and just printed the image.  I love how it turned out.  Now to actually follow through and stick to my organizing plan.

Now it's your turn!  Like I said, this can be as powerful as you want to make it.  However, make the creating part fun.  Pick that word and get it on paper.  Be sure to share with us at Challenge YOUrself for your chance to win a great price.  Tons of inspiration to view as well.

Thank you for stopping by!
Happy scrapping to you.
